Stainless steel sinks are a pretty ubiquitous addition to just about any kitchen, no matter where you go. But that doesn't mean that they are always the easiest things to keep spot-free, especially if you're a bit too busy to rinse out soap suds or occasionally leave dirty dishes sitting around until the next time you have a free moment. Luckily there's a simple hack, shared by Herminia, that can help clean your sink in no time!

So, if you are looking to restore the shine to your stainless steel sink you are going to need two basic ingredients which, hopefully, you'll already have lying around your house!

Grab some baking soda and Dawn dish soap as well as something to mix it in. You will then want to create a thick paste by combining the two, using about two-thirds a cup of baking soda and a good squirt of dish soap. That isn't a wholly accurate measurement, but essentially you want something that can easily coat your sink without sliding off.

From there, start slathering it on every inch of the steel, making sure you get a good coat on areas that see more 'traffic', such as just around the drain or on the faucet itself. Let this mixture sit on the steel for about ten to fifteen minutes before gently scrubbing it in with a soft sponge. Do NOT use steel wool for this, as all you will be doing is creating more dings and scratches that make the whole appearance dingy and scuffed.

Once scrubbed, finish the whole thing off by rinsing the paste down the drain and you should be left with a spotless and shining sink that anyone's gramma would be proud of!
